Did I Ever Tell You:
About how the little girl came to be on the balloon? What inspired me and why it is my logo? No? Well pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea or coffee or wine and I’ll tell you.
Once upon a time
had seen a lovely lady in the local paper and knew I was going to meet her. I had to meet her. She was magical. how rude of me, shall I introduce you? Of coarse, her name was Sharen Renea. She was creative and talented. She was a medium. Now this took a few years, but one day I called her and then the rest was history. We started a friendship and soon that blossomed into a creative venture on some cards. You know ones that help you think outside the box. Tarot, cards by any other name. We decided on 52 I believe. You can purchase them on her website or here is the link Soulebration Prayer Deck. Now, keep in mind, that at same time I was getting cancer treatment for stage 3 cancer breast. Chemo and radiation not to mention the double mastectomy. So I started to develope this little line of cards especially for her. With her personality on everyone of them. Of coarse while I was doing them I was also creating more whimsical drawings. Like the one that I have pictured here.
She would tell me what she wanted to convey to others and I would illustrate it with her personality. By the time I finished with the project, I was finished with my medical care. I went to her home and laid out all the images. It covered her living room. I stood amazed at the images. They seemed to come from anther woman. It was the first time I believe I had allowed my soul to speak through my hands. When it was set free through my human body, I saw how beautiful I was. I was humbled and honored. We stood and looked and the joy they brought was infectious.
Back To My Story About The Red Balloons
As I left her home that day, we hugged and talked about future endeavors the way all friends do. She looked at me and said ”That little girl on the ballon is you Edith. Send that little red balloon the world. Let it go and let the wind take it to the world.” I promised I would and did. I created my logo of me on the red balloon. I will ride that balloon all over. I will go wherever it takes me. I will follow my soul’s direction because, after all, it knows best.
So here it is my friends and future friends, my work. My passion. I hope that it brings you joy and hope.
